Part of the Matheson Trust Sacred Audio Collection
“The Precious Garland” is part of the Tibetan Bardo Thodol, recited for the dying and the dead as guidance for the souls new to the posthumous realities.
Thus in the moment of death,
When we travel all alone beyond this world,
Though surrounded by dear family and friends,
There is no way to remain even a moment longer
When the four elements of the cyclic illusory body dissolve.
May grasping of subject and object naturally liberate.
…
Bless me to cut the illusions of the bardo.
Bless me to recognize emptiness and awareness, the mother and the child.
