To be great is, above all, to be “sincere”, because “only those who are absolutely sincere can fully develop their own nature.” One is “sincere,” that is, integrated, complete, whole, when no divisions exist, either within oneself, or between oneself and an “earth which supports and contains all things, and a heaven which overshadows and embraces all things.”
