The paramount importance of the pervasive supremacy of God in the scriptures of the monotheistic religions calls for a review of the beautiful names whose implications share much in common. Furthermore, there must be a juxtaposition of the Christian axiom that “God is Love” with the name of “God the Merciful” in the Qur’an so that we can properly asses the development of the theological conception of God in both religions.
