Shaykh Yusuf al-Khalwati al-Maqassari (d. 1699)
translation and commentaries by Mustapha Keraan and Muhammed Haron
May He grant you understanding concerning it and be aware that the qiblah is composed of four facets. The first of these is the qiblat al-‘amal (the course of action). The second is the qiblat al-‘ilm (the path of knowledge). The third is the qiblat as-sirr (the path of secrecy). The fourth is the qiblat at-tawajjuh (the path of contemplation).
