Lao Tzu (Laozi)
Written around the 6th century BC and consistently listed among the most translated works in world literature, the Tao Te Ching (Classic of the Way and Virtue) is fundamental for both philosophical and religious Taoism. Its influence upon Far Eastern cultures at large cannot be overstated.
The Dao in its regular course does nothing, and so there is nothing which it does not do.
